84. weather awe

the sun set against the pacific ocean.

driving back to san francisco from santa cruz, we came up against one of the most spectacular displays of raw awe that i have ever seen.

a system of clouds had formed a battalion that moved out rapidly, transforming the skies before our eyes.

a seemingly impenetrable wall of darkness was engulfing the typical afternoon.

a woman who also stopped to capture the moment said that in all her years living there, she had never seen such a thing in the sky.

it was a unique moment, a gift of nature as i stood at the edge of the windswept cliffs.

a time to stop and revere the awesomeness of life.
