it had been dark and rainy ever since i arrived to los angeles a few days ago. i went up to the getty one morning, the velvety rain covered the stones that make the magnanimous place on the hilltop. on my last day, a friend thinks of making a bbq. against all odds, we worked all day cleaning the terrace that overlooks playa del rey, as ominous clouds hung over our heads. as we were finishing our work, the skies cleared and the sun made its way out of the clouds, through to our skin and bones, rewarding us with its warmth and presence. as the earth turned, the skies turned up the drama, gold flames licking the the deep ocean blue.
